Getting
a Direct Link Using an ISBN/ASIN Number
|
Please enter
the ASIN of the book/CD/video you would like to purchase. For books,
this is equivalent to the ISBN number. This number can be found by using
the search engine on the Amazon site.
When you get their database entry for the book, it will include the ASIN.
For example, the URL will include the ASIN in the following format
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0151002665/<additional
customer info>
Clip (copy)
this to your clipboard (in the above example, it is 0151002665)
and then return here from the search engine output. If you have
seen a copy of the book, look on the jacket for a bar code or inside the
fly leaf for LOC Publication data.
What
is an ASIN? The ASIN is a 10-digit identification system that allows
booksellers and libraries to easily differentiate between books and other
media when ordering. The ASIN refers to the specific edition (e.g. trade
paperback, mass market paperback) and is usually located on the back of
the book and on the copyright page.
