See West Point like you have never seen it before. No dry history, this is West Point as the Cadets and visitors of the past experienced it. Brought to you through more than 1,100 contemporary images: photographs, prints and postcards. You will walk the walk, sleep in Spartan barracks and summer tents, drill and hike, learn to fire giant artillery guns, wrestle on horseback and fence. Shirtless, straddling a pole in the Hudson, you will learn engineering; how to build a bridge from the bottom up. Time off for the Hop. Will your best girl sign your hop card that guarantees you entry into the dance? You will accompany visitors to the Point, be awed by the grand gray stone buildings that make up West Point and then cover the grounds as the Cadets go about their daily business. You will be invited to the Centennial celebrations, with your own ticket. You will travel back in time when West Point was an idea aborning, and an academy in the making. Do you know US Grant as a Cadet, you will. You will also travel the Hudson River, on foot, by steamboat and in the new miracle transportation, the automobile. All this and more when you travel with this CD to West Point, Scenes Remembered. You can order your copy for $29.95 from the Daughters of the United States Army Gift Shop at the West Point Museum online at West Point Scenes Remembered CD. You may also like to purchase the West Point Yearbook Scenes Remembered CD or other items in their audio-visual catalog.
Bill McWilliams '55 has written an inspiring true story and period history about honor during the Korean War. Filled with all the powerful emotions the war evoked, and lessons as important today as they were half a century ago, copies have been purchased by the Academy for each Cadet Honor Committee member from the classes of 2002-2004, for use in honor and ethics training for the Corps of Cadets. You can purchase a copy through Bill's web site at http://www.west-point.org/users/usma1955/20315
In his new

Le Ly Hayslip, Roger Hilsman, John Kerry, Henry Kissinger, Anthony Lake,
Cau Le, Barry McCaffrey, John McCain, H. R. McMaster, Tom Polgar, Norman
Schwarzkopf, James Webb, and William Westmoreland. Julian M. Olejniczak,

of the interviews will surprise readers... No other book chronicles the
continuing debate over this most controversial of wars from so many different
perspectives." Gloria Emerson, former New York Times war correspondent
and author of Winners and Losers, calls Legacy of Discord "A wonderful
and often startling record of the passions and contradictions aroused
by the old war that still burns today."
